Sandro Perri To Release Tiny Mirrors in Sept.

Sandro Perri, who released Sandro Perri plays Polmo Polpo last year (he's released most of his music as Polmo Polpo in the past), has finished recording an album (Tiny Mirrors) that will be released by Constellation Records on Sept. 24 (and Oct. 9 throughout the rest of the world). That's very good news, because "Dreaming" was one of my favorite songs to fall asleep to last year. There aren't any tracks available from this yet, but I really really recommend you listen to "Dreaming" now if you haven't heard it yet.

TRACKLIST:
1. Family Tree
2. City Of Museums
3. Double Suicide
4. The Drums
5. Everybody's Talkin'
6. The Mime
7. You're The One
8. White Flag Blues
9. Love Is Real
10. Mirror Tree

Tracklist Announced For Upcoming BoH Album

After Band of Horses let us in on their sophomore album's title (Cease to Begin) and gave Pitchfork an interesting little interview last week, we now get a glimpse at the album's tracklist. The most baffling -- "Detlef Schrempf" and "Lamb On The Lam (In The City)." I do like the album's first track title. Haaaa. In all seriousness, though, I have fairly high expectations for this one, after last year's overall wonderful Everything All The Time.

TRACKLIST:
1) Is There a Ghost
2) Ode to LRC
3) No One's Gonna Love You
4) Detlef Schrempf
5) The General Specific
6) Lamb on the Lam (in the city)
7) Islands on the Coast
8) Marry Song
9) Cigarettes, Wedding Bands
10) Window Blues

News On The Upcoming Castanets Release

It's been awhile since I've heard anything about Castanets (which has released two highly recommendable albums in the past few years, Cathedrals and First Light's Freeze) -- well, I stopped by Asthmatic Kitty's website website, and discovered a new album's been completed, and is due out on Oct. 23, 2007. The website's got the tracklist for the album, In The Vines, as well as the dramatic story of the album's conception and production. This should be one intense album (not that the previous albums were light and fluffy, by any means). But seriously -- Ray Raposa (chief member of Castanets) had an incredibly bad year:

Ray Raposa of Castanets had almost finished his follow-up to First Light's Freeze (2005) when three men in strange masks mugged him at gunpoint in front of his home in Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Stealing Raposa's rent money, iPod and security, the three thieves climaxed a year of depression and nomadic, nocturnal dislocation. Not long after the mugging, Raposa completed In The Vines.

A number of familiar faces contribute to the album, including Jana Hunter and members of Shaky Hands and Phosphorescent.

TRACKLIST:
1. Rain Will Come
2. This Is The Early Game
3. Westbound, Blue
4. Strong Animal
5. Sway
6. The Fields Crack
7. Three Months Paid
8. The Night Is When You Can Not See
9. Sounded Like a Train, Wasn't a Train
10. And The Swimming

Devendra Banhart Announces Tracklisting...

You can head over to Dev's (ha, I really don't think I ever plan on abbreviating his name like that EVER again) MySpace to preview two tracks off his upcoming album, Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon. "Rosa" is a lovely, slow little song sung in Portuguese, while "Tonada Yanomaminista" has got some serious rockin' Banhart 'tude that sounds a bit different than anything he's released before. According to the blog entry on the 'Space (you know, the one titled "Two Songzzz"), they'll be previewing two tracks over there every Friday for your listening pleasure before the album comes out (on Sept. 25, mind yaaa). (It's Friday, meaning summer school takes a hiatus for the weekend, meaning my grammar is about to jump out da window, yo). Anyways, thanks to P4K (yeah, again, sorry) for tha scoop. Ghosty, OUT.
