SAY WHAT? The Polyphonic Spree + Rooney Tour?

Rooney. Just kidding, it's the Polyphonic Spree, before they started sporting black military clothing.

When you think of bands that would totally compliment the Polyphonic Spree's sound, does Rooney come to mind? Would it even be on a list of 100 bands in the running? Methinks no. They don't sound anything alike, and I'm fairly sure they're not playing to similar demographics these days. But, as hard as I've been on Rooney in the past (mostly because the band was my eight grade favorite band, and I was hardcore obsessed, shhhh), I'm happy to see that they're not going on tour with, say, Maroon 5 (cough, Phantom Planet and the Hives), Beyonce, Fergie Ferg or Kelly Clarkson (all of whom they've played with in the past few years, I believe). Maybe they'll don some crazy-colored robes the Spree recently discarded and start writing something more interesting.
