Yes, the Posies are gonna be heading out on a European tour this month after a year-long hiatus. The powerpop band was active mainly in the '90s (where they enjoyed play on college radio stations but success proved elusive), but since then they've put out a few albums like 2005's respectable Every Kind of Light. "Golden Blunders" (off In 23) was one of my favorite songs ever in high school after a friend of mine introduced me to the group, and I'm glad to see this Seattle-based band is still alive and kicking.
Also in the works: A tribute album to the band entitled Beautiful Escape: The Ultimate Tribute to the Posies! The tracklisting won't be announced for awhile (submissions are still being accepted, all you musicians out there), but it's gonna be a big one, either 2 discs or 3. So far, about 20 songs have been named, and you can find out more HERE. It's being produced by Burning Sky Records, who put out a Jellyfish tribute in the past.
