Anybody in New York wanna see a movie tonight? No, I'm not asking you out or being creepy. I don't live in New York -- but if I did, I'd probably try to see Jonathan Blitstein's Let Them Chirp Awhile, which'll be playing in Woodstock this evening. The film features Bishop Allen's frontman, Justin Rice, and its songs are by Bryan Scary (who debuted his much-loved album earlier this year). I don't know much about the film's plot, but the stills up on the film's website and MySpace look pretty funny (hopefully not another Eagle Vs. Shark sort of deal, though Rice is shown wearing a bird costume and what is possibly a wolf costume).
