Ohioans Mandy Levy and Pete Ohs of the Long Distants also record as Toy Band -- while both bands play indie pop, Toy Band's got more of a electronic sound. As the band's MySpace says, the songs were composed using toy instruments the duo found at their local Goodwill. "Purple and Teal" is like waking up at 3 a.m. to find all your favorite toys are alive and in a rock band -- only instead of being scared out of your mind and begging your mother to throw them all away, you start dancing along. Both songs are from the band's 2007 EP, Basically.
