Vermont psych-folk duo MV & EE (aka Matt Valentine and Erica Elder) are teaming up with the Golden Road (a backing band comprised of Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis, a number of other musicians and apparently a dog named Zuma [a very fitting Neil Young homage, perhaps?]) to put out another album, Gettin' Gone. The album is due October 9 on Ecstatic Peace Records + Tapes. From what I've heard so far, sounds like it'll include more of the fuzzy, often sparse acoustic folk melodies paired with beautifully distant vocals heard on last year's Green Blues, which MV & EE recorded with the Bummer Road (a bit confusing, isn't it?).
