2 Days In Paris Is Where It's At

(...Not to be confused with the Paris Hilton sex tape, which, I do believe, was similarly titled.)

Sure, I enjoyed Superbad just like the rest of you Apatow-worshipping losers, but 2 Days In Paris is definitely my favorite film of the summer. Yeah, okay, the title sounds pretty cheesy, but it's a delightfully sarcastic, dark, funny and realistic take on relationships. Not Before Sunset-status goodness, but then again, not much is, in my book. Granted, if you've got no tolerance for high-grade neuroses (the leads ARE played by Adam Goldberg and Julie Delpy, after all) and anatomical humor, you're gonna haaate it, but let's face it, you're probably not a music blog-reading nerd if you're not at least sorta into that kinda thing. Great performances all around, and Julie Delpy, who also wrote and directed this film, contributes a song to the soundtrack with Nouvelle Vague!

I thought this movie was hilarious, and definitely better than Superbad. Goldberg was cracking me up, and Delpy was good too. He's pretty forgiving though considering those skanky text messages....

I loved this movie, too. And the song. But the link still doesn't seem to work . . .
